Finance Manager
Our client is a large-scale industrial organization developing and operating a strategic North American resource and processing asset. The company is committed to operational excellence, responsible resource development, sustainability, and creating long-term value for its stakeholders.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to serve as the senior financial leader supporting a significant operating site. The successful candidate will partner closely with site leadership and corporate finance teams to drive financial performance, strengthen controls, and support key business decisions.
The Finance Manager serves as the lead finance business partner for site operations and is responsible for financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, internal controls, and operational finance support. This role plays a key part in helping the operation achieve its financial and strategic objectives while maintaining strong governance and compliance standards.
Partner with operational leadership to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
Lead and develop a site-based finance team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Analyze financial and operational performance, identify trends, and recommend improvement opportunities.
Collaborate with operations, maintenance, supply chain, and project teams on cost management and capital allocation initiatives.
Maintain effective internal controls and support compliance and financial governance requirements.
Support cost accounting, inventory management, capital project analysis, and KPI reporting.
Coordinate internal and external audit activities and ensure adherence to corporate accounting policies.
Build strong relationships across the organization and support a high-performance culture.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Seven or more years of progressive finance experience with leadership responsibilities.
Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, chemical, mining, metals, or similar operations.
Strong background in financial planning and analysis, cost accounting, operational finance, and financial reporting.
Demonstrated success partnering with operational leaders and improving business performance.
Knowledge of internal controls, compliance programs, and financial governance frameworks.
