Follow established portion control procedures to minimize food waste.
Organize and stock ingredients and supplies to ensure smooth workflow during meal service.
Maintain a high degree of standards in cleanliness and sanitation in all the kitchen areas, including equipment, countertops, and storage areas, following food safety regulations.
Follow proper food handling procedures to minimize waste and ensure food quality and freshness.
Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels, rotating ingredients, labeling prep items, receiving supplies, and notifying the chef or manager of any shortages or discrepancies.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timing and workflow.
Assist with dishwashing duties as needed.
Previous experience as a prep cook in a high-volume environment.
Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
Must be able to safely operate kitchen equipment and tools.
