Job Description
We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join a small, patient-focused medical office in Lucedale, MS. This is a full-time position supporting both clinical and front desk duties in a close-knit, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare patients for exams by taking and recording vital signs and medical histories
Assist provider during examinations and minor procedures
Administer injections, medications, and basic lab procedures as directed
Schedule patient appointments and manage daily patient flow
Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR)
Answer phones, greet patients, and assist at the front desk as needed
Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared for use
Follow all HIPAA, safety, and sanitation guidelines
Requirements
Experience taking and recording patient vital signs is required
Previous experience in a medical office preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Previous experience as a medical assistant or medical receptionist (2+ years preferred)
