The position: We're looking for a Senior Tax Accountant that desires to expand their tax knowledge and experience.
Ideal candidate profile:
- 3 10 years of recent tax experience in a CPA firm
- CPA license required
- Experience preparing tax returns including individuals, trusts, partnerships and S corporations
- Highly motivated to learn and produce quality work
- Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously with little direction
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills with coworkers and clients
- Works effectively with team members
- Able to build strong client relationships by responding quickly and providing knowledgeable, concise communication to the client
- Experience providing mentorship to entry level staff
- Tax return review experience a plus
Responsibilities:
Works with the tax team to prepare complex business and individual tax returns
Performs the initial review of individual and business returns prepared by entry-level staff
Provides timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations
Handles routine client tax questions, and works with clients to obtain the information to prepare complete and accurate returns
Alerts manager and partner of any tax compliance issues in timely manner
Completes research and special projects as needed
Stays informed of tax law changes and news
