Mechanical Engineering Maintenance

The location in Sanford, (Florida, United States), is seeking talent to fill the position of Mechanical Engineer. This job is full-time permanent.

Preventive and predictive maintenance: Develop, implement, and track preventative maintenance schedules to maximize equipment uptime and minimize breakdowns.

Use predictive maintenance techniques and data from monitoring systems to anticipate failures.

Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in a timely manner.

Installation and upgrades: Recommend and implement upgrades or modifications to improve equipment performance and reliability.

Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including OSHA and EPA standards. Maintain detailed and accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history, often using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Collaboration: Work with production, operations, and management teams to coordinate maintenance schedules and support projects.

Leadership: Lead the mechanical maintenance crew in the absence of the supervisor.

Oversee contractors.

Planning: Develop job planning and project planning skills to assist with outage planning.

Candidate must have a deep understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Excellent computer skills with computer-based maintenance software such as SAP, MS Office and scheduling software.

The ability to utilize AutoCAD is an asset.

Required Qualifications/Professional Experience: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

It is preferred that the candidate have 2-6 years of experience working in an industrial mill as a Mechanical/ Maintenance Engineer.

Experience on projects with an operating company or engineering firm as part of a team is considered an asset.

Experience in construction management and/or maintenance experience in industrial/process plant environment.
