Law - Paralegal

As the Paralegal with this established DC law firm, you will support attorneys handling a variety of public-facing legal and regulatory matters. From reviewing marketing materials and researching evolving regulations to preparing legal documents and coordinating case-related projects, you will help keep assignments moving and ensure the team has accurate, reliable information at every stage. This role also offers the opportunity to work with emerging legal technology, including AI-assisted research and drafting platforms, to support thoughtful and efficient legal work. Help attorneys turn complex questions into actionable next steps by gathering background information, reviewing source materials, and organizing relevant findings.
Examine materials and related records, flagging inconsistencies or areas that may warrant a closer look by the legal team.
Pull together the materials needed for active matters, ensuring supporting records are easy to locate, clearly organized, and ready for attorney review.
Draft and refine written materials, correspondence, and internal reports, checking that the information is clear, consistent, and accurate.
Keep projects on track by maintaining working files, monitoring upcoming milestones, and following up on outstanding items across several matters.
Track changes in broader legal and business landscape and share relevant information that may affect the team's ongoing work.
Explore digital research and productivity tools to help streamline routine tasks, using independent judgment to check the reliability of results before incorporating them into work product.
Handle the administrative details behind client assignments, including maintaining time records and providing additional project support as team needs evolve.
This firm offers a 37 ½ hour work week and paid overtime

Following an initial training program, this role offers a hybrid work model.
You have a bachelor’s degree and at least two years of paralegal experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
You enjoy digging into unfamiliar topics, connecting the dots, and finding answers that help move a matter forward.
You take pride in getting the details right, from reviewing supporting materials to checking research and written work for accuracy.
You know how to convey information thoughtfully and professionally, whether in writing or conversation.
You can juggle several assignments, keep deadlines in view, and maintain momentum when priorities shift.
You’re interested in exploring new legal technology, including AI-assisted tools, while taking the time to validate the information they produce.
