Paramedic Position at Akumin Plantation FacilityAkumin is a leading provider of outpatient radiology and oncology services, partnering with top hospitals and health systems nationwide to deliver advanced diagnostic imaging and exceptional patient care close to home. We are currently hiring for a Paramedic at our Akumin Plantation facility. This will be a full time position.The Paramedic holds shift accountability for providing care to patients by utilizing the Medical Emergency Management Plan in accordance with the state medical policies and procedures. The registered Paramedic demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care; provides assistance with patient care preparation.Starting IV access on patients as needed using universal protection equipment and aseptic techniquesProperly disposing of contaminated medical supplies in the biohazard waste containers.Other duties as assigned by the Clinic AdministratorPosition Requirements:High School graduation or GED equivalent.Paramedics/EMT LicenseACLS and BLS RequiredWorking knowledge of first aid.Ability to learn the operation of fire suppression and other emergency equipment.Ability to perform strenuous or peak physical activities during emergencyAbility to act effectively in emergency and stressful situations.Ability to effectively communicate in writing and verbally.Familiarity with current software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, OutlookAt Akumin, we invest in the well-being of our employees, so you can bring your best self to work each day.
