Building Relationships : The Human Resources Manager is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the HR function for all dental and support offices in California and Hawaii. This position is heavy on employee relations in a multi-site environment as the Human Resources Manager partners with Operations leadership and HR colleagues to develop strategies and support to meet the HR needs of the organization in the short and long term.

In total, this position supports 40 offices in California and Hawaii and is based out of our El Segundo, CA office.

Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the business units being supported and manage all employee relations issues throughout the region

Build and maintain positive relationships with employees, managers, directors and executives

Support Regional Vice President and Director of Operations in implementing performance improvement strategies

Work with Operations leadership regarding regional development needs

Coach leadership on performance management, behavioral issues, policy interpretations and terminations to minimize legal exposure

Lead change management projects and manage HR related communications

Develop and deliver HR related training

Facilitate talent review and succession planning process

Ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local laws governing employment

Conduct investigations to resolve complaints of harassment, discrimination or retaliation

Communicate with legal counsel as necessary, may appear at legal proceedings on behalf of the Company

goals, budget review, system upgrades and/or implementation

Evaluate reports, decisions and results of initiatives to ensure continuous improvement and efficient operations

A High School Diploma or GED is required

A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and/or HR certification are preferred

At least seven years of HR experience, preferably in a multi-site, cross functional business unit
