Utility Project Estimator

Job Overview Join Cormorant Utility Services as an Estimator / Proposals Specialist to create exact cost estimates and competitive proposals for Power Services in Cambridge, Ontario.
Collaborate with teams to drive project success and ensure client satisfaction. This role requires a post‑secondary education in Electrical Engineering or a related field, along with 3 to 7 years of estimating or proposals experience in the electrical, utility, or industrial sectors.
Develop estimates for maintenance, testing, and commissioning projects while working closely with operations and project managers to create effective client‑oriented submissions.
Key Responsibilities Review RFQs and client requests for scope determination
Prepare accurate cost estimates including labor and materials
Develop technical proposals for service projects
Conduct site visits to assess project scope and risks
Maintain and update estimating databases for accuracy
Qualifications 3-7 years of estimating experience in related fields
Strong understanding of power systems and components
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines
Excellent communication skills for client proposals
