Together, we create an environment where you can grow, contribute, and help improve the experience and outcomes for every patient we serve.Position Highlights:DermatologyFull-Time; 40 hours/weekHours: Monday-Friday hours varying between 7:00am-4:00pm; alternating Wednesdays and Fridays offLocation: Naperville - City Gate clinicTravel: Travel to other Dermatology sites for coverage if neededResponsibilities:Assist Physician/Mohs Micrographic Surgeon during Mohs procedures Prepare surgical/consent documents prior to surgeryPrepare sterile surgical traysPrepare patient for surgery by cleaning surgical site per protocolProcess tissue as directed by Mohs surgeonEnsure documentation is completed for specimen identification, submission and trackingPrepare quality slides for microscopic diagnosis on surgical specimensAssist with maintaining Mohs laboratory Prepare and maintain stock of reagents, standards and control materials for the performance testing at assigned workstations and notify supervisor of shortages or problemsEnsure equipment is available and functioning appropriatelyEnsure all supplies are stocked and availableAssist with maintain laboratory standards for inspection, per CLIA regulations by maintaining all protocols and logs as outlined in the Mohs log booksMaintain pathology, referral, melanoma, sterilization logs real time to ensure they are accurate and up to dateEnsure yearly maintenance of all equipment is completed and documentedLog any problems or equipment failures as per Mohs lab manual protocolSterilize all instrumentsAssure efficient patient flow through the site Prepares and stocks general exam roomsEscorts patient to exam rooms, obtains accurate vital signsDocuments patient's medical history.Provide high quality clinical careScribe patient notes for physiciansReview pre/ post visit instruction with patientEnsure photographs are uploaded to patients' chartAssist with callbacks and returning pharmacy refillsPerforms patient callbacks as instructed by the Provider.Schedule patient for surgery, consultations, follow-up/wound check, suture removalMinimum Education and Experience:CPR certifiedHigh School Diploma or GEDGraduate of an accredited Medical Assist or Paramedic Program required or equivalent gained through experience.2 years of experience with outpatient surgical procedures, Mohs preferred.Dermatology or Surgical Center experience required.Experience with using an Electronic Medical Record.Knowledge of medical terminologyKnowledge and ability to identify surgical instrumentsThe compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $25.94-38.01 with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives.
