Quality Inspector
The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting cutting tools by reading blueprints and using measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, comparators, and indicators to ensure they meet quality standards. The role involves performing final quality inspections of finished products following established procedures, inspecting incoming raw materials, and documenting information for quality inspection reports.
Responsibilities
Conduct inspections of cutting tools using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring equipment.
Perform final quality inspections of finished products in accordance with established procedures.
Report any instances of rejected products or raw material issues to management.
Inspect incoming raw materials upon receipt.
Document appropriate information for quality inspection reports for each order.
Create and maintain current files for all quality-related correspondence.
Collaborate with the shop floor supervisor to review internal rejects from the shop floor.
Report any unusual discrepancies or problems promptly to management.
Perform internal quality audits.
Execute other related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, radius gauges, and video inspection equipment.
Competency in applying math skills and tool geometry.
Experience in inspection, quality control, and quality assurance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge of cutting tools.
Strong math aptitude.
Self-motivated individual.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
