Registered Nurse - Respiratory Care Unit (Full-time day shifts)

Registered Nurse (RN)Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PMPosition OverviewThe Registered Nurse will primarily work on the 3 North Long Term Observation unit, with the potential to float to other Med-Surg units, including Respiratory, Stroke, Cardiac, and possibly the Emergency Department, if appropriately skilled and knowledgeable. This position is full-time, requiring 36 hours per week, with weekend shifts required every other week.ResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality patient care on the Long Term Observation unit.Float to various Med-Surg units as necessary, based on patient care needs.Perform telemetry monitoring and assess patients' needs effectively.Maintain proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) using Epic.Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to patient care strategies.Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards of care.QualificationsMinimum of three (3) years of recent experience in Telemetry/Med-Surg.Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are required.Proficiency in Epic EMR is mandatory; refresher classes will not be provided.Ability to read telemetry and perform BCRA (Basic Cardiac Rhythm Analysis) accurately.Must successfully pass competency testing on the first day of employment.Additional InformationHoliday coverage is required for this position. Call responsibilities are minimal and infrequent.
