Evening Advocate

As a Family Advocate, you will partner with families to support their well being and promote children's success in the Head Start program. You will make a meaningful impact on children's lives by promoting health, nurturing environments and supporting families through various challenges. Support families in using community resources that enhance family well being and the children's learning and development
Maintain accurate documentation of interactions, assessments, and progress notes while ensuring confidentiality and compliance
Recruit and enroll eligible children and families
Provide opportunities for parents to enhance their parenting skills and knowledge of development needs of their children through training, meetings, and referrals
Participate in planning, implementation and conducting of educational and enrichment activities for families
Engage with children and teachers in the classroom setting to enhance knowledge of and support parent communication regarding child development, classroom events, and volunteering
Collects and analyzes information to find new solutions to challenges as part of ongoing monitoring in order to continuously improve services.
Have Bachelors or Associate's degree in Social Work, Human Services or closely related field
Demonstrate knowledge of strength based goal planning
Experience in case management and/or experience in programs serving low-income families with young children highly preferred.
Will1ing to work evenings or weekend if family needs require
Are willing to work 40 hours per week Monday through Friday
