Overview Company Description Prime Home Lending is a mortgage company licensed to serve borrowers in more than 33 U.This broad licensing footprint allows the organization to support a wide range of clients with diverse home financing needs. Role This is a full-time, on-site Loan Officer role based in Troy, MI. The Loan Officer will meet with prospective borrowers, assess their financial situations, and recommend appropriate mortgage products that align with their goals and eligibility. Daily responsibilities include taking loan applications, gathering and verifying documentation, explaining loan terms and costs, and guiding clients through the loan process from pre-qualification to closing. The Loan Officer is expected to build and maintain referral relationships, follow all compliance and regulatory requirements, and deliver a professional, customer-centered experience.

Responsibilities Meet with prospective borrowers to assess their financial situations and recommend appropriate mortgage products that align with their goals and eligibility.

Take loan applications, gather and verify documentation, explain loan terms and costs, and guide clients through the loan process from pre-qualification to closing.

Build and maintain referral relationships and deliver a professional, customer-centered experience.

Follow all compliance and regulatory requirements in daily activities.

Qualifications Strong customer service and client relationship skills, with the ability to communicate mortgage options clearly and professionally.

Solid financial analysis and attention to detail for reviewing income, credit reports, assets, and liabilities to determine loan eligibility.

Knowledge of mortgage lending regulations, loan products, and industry best practices, with a commitment to ethical and compliant conduct.

Effective sales and business development skills to cultivate referral networks and generate new loan opportunities.

Proficiency with mortgage origination software, general office tools, and basic data entry and documentation management.

Ability to work on-site in Troy, MI, manage a pipeline of files, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Previous experience as a Loan Officer, mortgage consultant, or in a related financial services role preferred.

Relevant state licensing as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) or the ability to obtain required licenses within a defined timeframe.

High school diploma required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is a plus.
