Full-time Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist Opportunity

We are seeking a full-time adult inpatient psychiatrist to join Virginia Beach Psychiatric Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Quick Facts

Employment Type: Full-time or independent contractor

Schedule / Hours: Inpatient, MondayFriday with shared call coverage as needed

Call: 1:4 weekends

Patient Volume: Varies by unit census and acuity

Location: Virginia Beach, Virginia

Practice Setting: Adult inpatient psychiatric hospital

Support / Care Team: Collaborative multidisciplinary team including nursing, social work, therapists, and administrative support

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive inpatient psychiatric care to adult patients

Perform psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, treatment planning, and medication management

Collaborate with physicians, APPs, nursing, therapists, social workers, and support staff

Manage day-to-day clinical responsibilities and treatment team participation

Participate in discharge planning and continuity of care coordination

Qualifications

Board Certified / Board Eligible in Psychiatry

Active or eligible Virginia medical license

DEA registration eligible or current, as applicable

Experience in adult inpatient psychiatry preferred
