EndocrinologistCentral Maine Healthcare is seeking an Endocrinologist to join its team serving the Central Maine region. The Endocrinologist is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with disorders of the endocrine system. The physician provides comprehensive care for patients with diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, obesity, adrenal disorders, pituitary disorders, and other hormonal conditions. From award-winning chefs and fresh Maine seafood to craft breweries, waterfront dining and vibrant farmers markets, the city has become a destination for food lovers from around the world.Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.Provide ongoing disease management and preventive care recommendations.Diabetes ManagementDiagnose and manage Type 1, Type 2, and gestational diabetes.Oversee insulin therapy, insulin pump management, and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) systems.Address diabetes-related complications and coordinate multidisciplinary care.Educate patients on diabetes self-management, nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle modification.Collaboration and Care CoordinationCollaborate with primary care physicians, surgeons, oncologists, nephrologists, cardiologists, and other specialists.Supervise and provide clinical guidance to Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), nursing staff, and ancillary personnel as applicable.Participate in multidisciplinary care conferences and case reviews.Coordinate referrals and transitions of care.Documentation and ComplianceMaintain timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards.Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.QualificationsMD or DO degree, with completion of an accredited Endocrinology fellowship.Board Certified/Board Eligible in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and MetabolismJ1/H-1B visa candidates acceptedEmployment StatusFull TimeShiftDaysEqual Employment OpportunityCompany is an equal employment opportunity employer.
