CNC Machinist
Location: 7475 Webster St. - Dayton, Ohio

Position Summary: We are currently hiring a skilled CNC Machinist to support machining operations through machine setup, operation, and quality verification. This role requires experience working with CNC equipment and the ability to interpret technical drawings, setup documentation, and machining instructions to manufacture precision components safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, feeds and speeds, and inspection methods while maintaining a high level of quality and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC machines, mills, lathes, and related equipment

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches, and work instructions

Follow routers and setup sheets to ensure proper machining sequence and setup requirements

Select and install fixtures, tooling, attachments, and materials for machining operations

Adjust machine controls including feeds, speeds, coolant flow, and depth of cut

Retrieve, input, and edit machine programs as needed

Monitor machine operation and make adjustments to maintain quality and tolerances

Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, height gauges, and gauge blocks

Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Maintain quality standards in accordance with ISO procedures

Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and team members to resolve machining issues

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.

Trade school certification or vocational training in machining preferred.

Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Ability to interpret technical instructions, diagrams, schedules, and written procedures.

Experience working with precision measuring instruments and maintaining tight tolerances.
