Security Professional Rotating Shifts
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts
Job Description
Monitor hotel premises for security breaches or suspicious activity.
Conduct regular patrols of the property to ensure safety and security.
Respond promptly to guest inquiries or reports of incidents.
Assist in emergency response situations, such as fires or medical emergencies.
Ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures concerning safety.
Document incidents and prepare reports for management review.
Coordinate with local law enforcement as needed during incidents.
Perform access control and monitor guest and staff entries.
Evaluate and resolve conflicts or disturbances among guests.
Provide exceptional customer service while ensuring safety.
Maintain surveillance footage and other security documentation.
Conduct security training for staff members.
Implement safety protocols during high‑traffic events.
Assist in the investigation of theft or property damage.
Respond to alarms and monitor security systems.

Qualifications
Certification in first aid and CPR.
Previous experience in a Security role required.
Understanding of security systems and surveillance technology.
Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
Highly responsible & reliable.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team.
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
Physical Demands
Frequent standing and walking throughout shift.
Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. or more.
Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting.
Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps.
Ability to work rotating shifts, and call back hours when required.
