Full-Time Attorney

Our client is a major financial enterprise dedicated to supporting housing markets and promoting sustainable homeownership nationwide. The contract attorney role involves supporting a broad range of financing, acquisition, and other strategic transactions with a focus on transactional review, negotiation assistance, and transaction documentation management. This is a full‑time, contract position in McLean, Virginia, paying $80–$85 per hour.

Assisting with the review, drafting, negotiation, and execution of amendments, consents, and other transaction‑related documents

Reviewing transaction documents and helping identify legal and business issues for escalation to lead counsel

Assisting with due diligence, document organization, closing coordination, and post‑closing activities

Managing and maintaining transaction records, databases, and document repositories to ensure accurate tracking and retention of transactional materials

Supporting legal and operational projects designed to improve transaction management processes and document administration

Collaborating with attorneys, business partners, and external counsel to facilitate efficient transaction execution

Conducting legal research and preparing summaries, memoranda, and other supporting materials as needed

3+ years of transactional experience at a law firm, financial institution, or in‑house legal department

Experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating transactional documents, including loan and security agreements, amendments, and ancillary agreements

General experience in one or more of the following areas: commercial transactions, finance, corporate, real estate, lending, or servicing
