RN Surgery (Ambulatory - Part Time/Evenings

Hourly Pay Range:
$33.96 - $52.64 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Registered Nurse Triage - General Surgery
Full Time: 40 hours / Weekly
Hours: Monday - Friday varies 7:30am - 5:00pm

Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Triage Nurse is a Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for patient care needs through the use of inbound and outbound telephone practice.The Triage Nurse continuously demonstrates positive customer relationship skills by assessing caller needs through active listening, clinical assessment, education and advanced problem-solving abilities.The Triage Nurse will actively manage patient's immediate and ongoing needs with attention to acute and preventative intervention. Duties include:phone triage, patient education and injections, injectable medication teaching, occasional rooming as needed, insurance pre-authorization and referrals, clean and stock exam rooms.

Current Illinois RN license
Current CPR for Healthcare Providers through American Heart Association (AHA)
Able to effectively communicate in English, both written & verbal
Flexible to scheduling changes including overtime, evening and Saturday rotation
Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Office RN experience
