Registered Nurse (RN) - Utilization Review in Apple Valley, CA. Seeking an experienced Utilization Review RN/Care Manager with 3+ years of acute hospital utilization management to join our on-site acute care team in the High Desert.

Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Weekend Requirement: Minimum of 4 weekend shifts (days) within a 6-week period
Minimum 3 years of acute medical Care Manager / Utilization Management experience performing utilization review in a hospital setting (not health plan/medical group)
California RN license required (pending license accepted, but must be active upon start date) - California RN jobs only
Ability to manage a high patient ratio (up to 1:40) in utilization review and case management workflows
No more than 7 days of requested time off during the contract
Conduct utilization reviews and concurrent review activities to ensure appropriate patient care, length of stay management, and resource utilization
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, case managers, social work, and ancillary services) to optimize patient outcomes and discharge planning
Document clinical findings, utilization determinations, and care plans in the medical record per facility protocols
Ensure compliance with regulatory, payer, and accreditation standards related to utilization management
Participate in weekend coverage and support consistent utilization review operations
