Service Porter

We are looking for a dependable, motivated Service Porter to join our service department. The Service Porter plays an important role in keeping the service department organized, efficient, and customer-ready.

This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone interested in the automotive industry and looking to build a career as a service technician. For the right candidate, this position can provide a pathway into an Apprentice Service Technician position as skills, knowledge, and experience are developed.

Move and park customer vehicles safely and efficiently.

Pick up and deliver customer vehicles as needed.

Maintain an organized and clean service drive, technician workspaces, parking areas, and service department.

Wash and clean customer vehicles after service when required.

Check vehicles for personal belongings and report any concerns to the appropriate service advisor.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, equipment, work areas, and shop facilities.

Retrieve and deliver parts, supplies, and equipment as needed.

Provide friendly and professional service to customers and coworkers.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay productive with limited supervision.

Previous automotive experience is helpful but not required.

This position can be the first step toward a career as a professional automotive technician. We are interested in candidates who want to learn the automotive service business and develop their technical skills. A Service Porter who demonstrates reliability, a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn may have the opportunity to advance into an Apprentice Service Technician position.

As an apprentice, the right candidate can receive hands-on training and gain experience while developing the skills necessary for a successful career as an automotive technician.

Enjoys working around cars and has an interest in automotive repair.

Takes pride in doing quality work.

Is willing to start at an entry-level position and earn greater responsibility.

Wants a long-term career in the automotive service industry, not simply a temporary job.
