Reasonable accommodations may be provided as required by law.Essential Duties & Responsibilities1. Provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from orthopedic, spine, ENT, ophthalmology, cosmetic, urology, oral & maxillofacial, and other specialty surgical procedures, including wound care, pain management, mobility assistance, drain and catheter management, and respiratory and cardiac monitoring.2. Provide care and support for patients undergoing medical detoxification, including vital signs monitoring, withdrawal assessments, and symptom management.3. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.4. Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies.5. Educate patients and their families regarding procedures, post-operative care, detox support, discharge planning, and overall health maintenance.6. Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, case managers, and all other healthcare professionals in the interdisciplinary team.7. Accurately document patient care, assessments, interventions and all other appropriate information in accordance with hospital policies in the electronic health record (EHR).8. Ensures compliance with infection control standards, safety protocols, hospital policies, and environment of care requirements, including life safety, security, hazardous materials management, emergency preparedness, and the safe use of medical equipment and utilities.9. Must work within scope of practice. Performs other duties as assigned.
