Sun City has an opportunity for an experienced Forklift Operator to join the Warehouse/Distribution Center in Pompano Beach, FL. We are looking for responsible individuals who enjoy working at night in a fast-paced work environment.

The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a forklift to move, locate/relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Load, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials using a forklift, clamp truck or other powered equipment

Use radio frequency equipment for picking, receiving, and loading functions as required

Maintain equipment by performing daily inspections and minor maintenance as needed

Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods

Return undelivered product to their proper inventory locations

Unload inbound shipments and move products to storage locations

Efficiently stack and store merchandise in the appropriate areas

Efficiently move product from staging areas into storage locations

Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area, as well as perform cleaning and maintenance duties as directed by Warehouse Supervisor

Assist with physical inventory and cycle counting

Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee inventory control and security is maintained

High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)

• 1-2 years of forklift experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment (Required)
• Ability to operate industrial equipment, pallet jack, clamp truck, and cherry picker (Preferred)
• Knowledge of general business computer software and aptitude to learn new software applications
• Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Must be able to work overnight hours

Work to be performed in a warehouse environment with temperatures ranging from -22 degrees Fahrenheit to 100 degrees Fahrenheit
