Janitor (Day & Night Shift)

Custodian 1st ShiftLocation: Hillcrest High SchoolReports To: Building Manager/ChiefGeneral Duties:Completes all tasks/details and specific duties in a timely fashion.All tasks must be completed to a standard determined by the Building Manager/Chief.Complete other duties as assigned by the Building Manager/Chief, Associate Principal and Night Supervisor.Specific Duties:Clean windows and door glassMain NW Caf Daily Clean caf water fountain and caf doors DailyDeliver clean towels to Nurse's office DailyTake clean towels to P.E., pool and Athletic Department DailyRetrieve dirty P.E. and swim suits to wash 3 times a dayWash and dry cleaning rags DailyDeliver clean P.E. and swim suits 2 times a dayKeep laundry area clean. Includes machines and floor DailyDeliver packages from Ad Center to various departments DailyDeliver mail to Main Office DailySign for and deliver all incoming packages to departments DailyDeliver requested papers to departments When neededClean all washrooms 5 times a dayCheck all girls' washrooms clean as needed includes girls West P.E. DaillyClean up spills and vomit DailyClean teacher's caf after last lunch DailyWalk thru girls P.E. locker room, vandalism check a.m. and p.m. report any to Chief DailyWash blankets for the Nurse Every FridayFill all Kotex machines Every MondayAssist any activity setups that may occur during the dayCheck all halls for cleanliness. (A minimum of 4 times per shift, twice in a.m. and twice in p.m.). Clean as needed. Includes water fountains every hour from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. DailyClean IMC and IMC hallway DailyClean boiler room tables and microwave DailyTerms Of Employment:Twelve-month work year.Salary and fringe benefits to be established by the Board of Education.Evaluation:Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of Educational Support Personnel.School District 228 is an Equal Opportunity Employer
