Registered Nurse, Pre/Post-Op - PRN Schedule - Willing to Train!

Job Title: Registered Nurse, Pre/Post-Op Company: Eye of Illinois Surgery Center / Maryville Eye Surgery Center (part of Quantum Vision Centers and Eyecare Partners) Location: Pay: The pay range for this role starts at $30-32/hr, depending on experience

Hours: PRN The schedule will vary weekly; you may work anywhere from 0-2 days per week, depending on staffing needs and surgery schedules. Our office is open Monday-Friday 6am-4pm. Your shifts will fall within these hours. Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required

Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing preferred

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required in the state you will be working in

Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred

At least one year of previous nursing experience is preferred, but we are also open to new grads!

Previous nursing experience in at least one of the following settings is preferred: surgical, ambulatory surgical center (ASC), Pre/Post-Op, PACU, ICU, Medical Surgical, Telemetry or Operating Room

Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with established Federal, State and accreditation standards and ASC policies and procedures. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under his/her direction. Participates in direct patient care and maintains a clean, orderly and safe environment.

Ability to supervise and direct patient care in an individual Operating Room.

Performs duties in an ethical and legal manner within the scope of their license as defined by the State.

Immediately reports and unusual occurrences to charge personnel, documents appropriately in the patient record.

Demonstrates primary nursing accountability through coordination, communication and continuity of patient care.

Assess, prioritize, plan and implement patient care in an effective manner.

Maintains medical records in an accurate and legible manner.

Participates in continuing education/in-service training as needed, staff meetings, and Q.Follows Physician orders and directions from management.

Assists in training new staff when needed.

Must be able to assess, prioritize, plan and implement patient care in an effective manner.

Maintains effective communication with patients, families, physicians, and other staff.

Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required

Knowledge of patient monitoring and emergency equipment

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook

Printer, copier, telephone and fax

This role requires a variety of physical activities to effectively perform essential job functions. Strong fine motor skills and full use of hands are essential, as the role demands constant grasping, writing/typing, and use of technology.
