Job Summary:

This is a Pediatric Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH PEDS) assignment in Chicago, Illinois. The position involves providing cardiac surgical care as part of a specialized cardiac team. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This assignment is for 20 weeks with a schedule of 10-hour days from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, including weekend call and holiday coverage.

Required Qualifications: A permit Illinois (IL) license at the time of submission, a minimum of 2 years of cardiac experience, American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, and Epic electronic medical record system experience. Candidates must have a valid IL license and be able to scrub and circulate cardiac procedures.

Additional Information: Holidays and call are required 7 call days per month, including 1 weekend. COVID vaccination documentation with both doses and lot numbers must be submitted with the application; declinations are not accepted.

Float: Float rotation is not required.

Experience: Minimum 0 years; focus on cardiac surgical care with specific experience.
