Attorney At Law (Remote)

Job Description At Spitz, the Employee’s Law Firm , we don’t hire attorneys to sit on the sidelines. We are expanding our Kentucky practice and looking for an attorney who wants meaningful work, real responsibility, and the opportunity to build an exceptional litigation career. This is a remote position that may be performed from anywhere in Kentucky.

Our attorneys represent employees facing discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, FMLA violations, unpaid wages and overtime, and other serious workplace violations. Clients often come to us at one of the most difficult moments in their careers, and they need an attorney who will listen, think strategically, communicate clearly, and fight for them.

At Spitz, meaningful responsibility is not reserved for attorneys who have reached a particular class year or title. Responsibility follows performance. Draft and argue substantive motions. You’ll work with experienced litigators who provide mentorship, feedback, strategy, and support while giving you the room to develop your own judgment and advocacy skills.

The goal is not simply to teach you employment law.

The goal is to help you become an exceptional litigator.

Compensation: $65,000 - $95,000 yearly + Bonus

Represent employees throughout Kentucky in employment claims and litigation.

Work directly with clients from the beginning of the attorney-client relationship.

Evaluate claims, identify legal and factual issues, and provide clear, practical advice.

Develop litigation strategy and take ownership of moving your cases forward.

Draft EEOC and state agency charges, demand letters, pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.

Advocate for clients before the EEOC, state agencies, and courts.

Conduct discovery, analyze evidence, research and brief legal issues, and prepare cases for trial.

Work alongside experienced trial attorneys while taking on greater responsibility as your skills develop.

Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.

Licensed to practice law in Kentucky, awaiting Kentucky bar results, or eligible for prompt admission.

Strong written and verbal advocacy skills.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate facts, risks, and strategy.

Able to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced remote litigation practice.

Genuine interest in litigation, employment law, civil rights, or employee advocacy.

Employment law experience is a plus, but it is not required. We care far more about judgment, intelligence, work ethic, communication skills, and your desire to become an exceptional advocate.
