Licensed Vocational Nurse
Vivo HealthStaff is looking for Licensed Vocational Nurses in Fremont, CA who are passionate about caring for frail seniors.
POSITION SUMMARY: Under the administrative supervision of the Program/Center Manager, the clinical direction of a Center RN, and the clinical supervision of the associate nurse manager, the Licensed Vocational Nurse provides direct nursing services to participants.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides skilled nursing care to all participants including but not limited to administration and monitoring medications, checking vital signs and monitoring participant's changes.
Supervises, trains, and monitors geriatric aides. Teaches participants and family members regarding participant needs at home.
Communicates effectively with all team members, participants, and families. Participates in interdisciplinary team planning and problem-solving.
Other related duties as assigned.
SCHEDULE:
Can work either AM Shift 7:00-3:30 or PM Shift 12:00-8:30 (Monday-Friday and 1-2 weekends a month)
If you are to work a weekend day, it would be swapped out for another day during the week. Schedules are provided at least 2-3 weeks in advance so you have time to plan, swap a shift with another staff if needed, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS (knowledge, skills & abilities):
Graduate of an accredited LVN program.
Possess a current California LVN license.
Interest, demonstrated ability, and one-year experience working with the elderly or frail population required.
Ability to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary team.
