These markets include aerospace and defense, factory automation, air and water quality environmental monitoring, electronics design and development, oceanographic research, deepwater oil and gas exploration and production, medical imaging and pharmaceutical research.Job DescriptionTeledyne Micropac is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer who will develop, implement, maintain methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies.Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair service following manufacturer's recommendations and established proceduresInterfacing with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products. Estimates manufacturing cost, determines time standards and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines.Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.Establish a strong focus on internal and external customer serviceDesigns layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiencyProvide technical support and assist in resolution of manufacturing problems as requiredConfers with design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure proficient production methodsConfers with vendors to resolve equipment, materials and/or quality issues that are impacting the quality of the end product being producedApplies statistical methods to analysis of key manufacturing processes and controlsComprehensive knowledge of BOM structure and change control processComprehensive understanding of product line designs and project cost make-upTeam player in pursuit and support of cost reduction activities to achieve company goalsAbility to work independently, resolve technical and manufacturing issues without detailed direction and work as part of a teamCapability to accurately and efficiently work on multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to travel "as required" to customer site(s) to provide technical support and trainingTakes a lead role in the identification, purchase and implementation of new equipment utilized on the manufacturing floorWhat You NeedBS degree in engineering or related discipline with at least 3 to 5 years of direct or related experience - requiredor minimum 8-10 years working experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or related engineering position of responsibility with demonstrated engineering competency may be considered in place of formal college degree with associated experienceDemonstrates accuracy and proficiency in execution of job responsibilities - requiredGood interpersonal and training skills - requiredStrong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills - requiredPC literate - requiredStrong attention to detail - requiredWhat We OfferCompetitive pay and comprehensive health benefits401(k) with company match and retirement plansPaid time off and flexible work arrangementsProfessional development and training opportunitiesEmployee wellness programs and assistance resourcesA collaborative environment working on mission-critical technologyWhat Happens NextApply online through Teledyne's careers page.
