Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical ICU (MICU) travel position requiring ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications with a minimum of 1-2 years of ICU experience.

Details

Work in the Medical ICU (MICU) of an acute care hospital

Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM)

Floating required

13-week contract

Qualifications

Active RN license (Standard or Compact) required

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS

Minimum 1-2 years of ICU nursing experience required

Previous travel nursing experience preferred

Epic EMR experience preferred

2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

Coordinate and deliver comprehensive nursing care for ICU patients through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired outcomes

Conduct discharge planning and patient/family education regarding illness and injury prevention

Delegate tasks to unlicensed personnel in compliance with the Board of Nursing

Navy scrubs required

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered as a traveler

No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved; no RTO during the first week of orientation

No travel pairs or groups accepted
