Dishwasher / Porter are directly responsible for the cleanliness of the restaurant, which is the first thing a diner sees. Ensuring that all items used within the kitchen is cleaned to standards.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

*
Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand.

*
All dishes, glassware, plastic containers, pots and pans must be put away clean, dry and grease free in a neat and organized manner

*
Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks.

*
Clean garbage cans with water and proper MSDS cleaning supplies

*
Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition.

*
Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas.

*
Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.

*
Sweep, scrub and mop floors.

*
At no time should there be standing water on the floor anywhere in the kitchen; as per the health code violation.

*
Responsibilities to ensure all paper towels, soap are refilled at every handwashing sink throughout the kitchen.

Weekly deep cleaning of both ice machines also daily spot cleaning

REQUIREMENTS:

*
Must have 2 years + experience as dishwasher/porter at a comparable restaurant or hotel.

*
Must have a basic understanding of the English language

*
Must be able to lift 50 lbs

*
Must be able to stay on your feet for 8 hours plus

Knowledge:

Must have basic knowledge of sanitation procedures

Compensation $17 - $18 / hour
