Hours: 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Mon- Fri); some evenings and weekends

Reports to: Chief Operations Officer

General Summary The Facilities Manager reports to the Chief Experience Officer (CXO) and is responsible for all aspects of campus physical plant activities that affect the experience of employees, students, and guests. The responsibilities include overseeing janitorial services, building and grounds maintenance, transportation, school nutrition, and safety/security matters. The facilities manager will plan and manage the daily operations of the organization to ensure goals and objectives are achieved.

Required Skills and Experience Proficient in Microsoft Office products

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.

Extensive knowledge of operations and production management.

Ability to interpret financial data as needed to set production goals.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software as needed to maintain reports, records, and

budgets.

Experience using multi-line telephone system

Excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to connect with diverse people and organizations

Experience managing the organizations type of facilities, equipment, and events preferred

Supervisory Responsibilities Hires, supervises, and trains employees in the facilities management department.

Oversees the day-to-day workflow, scheduling, and assignments of the department.

Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.

Duties and Responsibilities Their duties include negotiating contracts with service providers, inspecting facilities to meet safety regulations and coordinating renovations and updates.

Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders

Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff

Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions

Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces

Performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed

Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors

Plans and organizes daily activities related to production and operations.

Measures productivity by analyzing performance data, financial data, and activity reports.

Coordinates with other support departments to ensure successful production operations.

Determines labor needs to meet production goals.

Assists with budget preparation for operations unit.

Assists with, or prepares and updates, organizations operations manual and policies.

Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements Education High School diploma with minimum of 7 years of directly related experience and supervising support staff

Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience managing and supervising support staff.
