Part-Time Training Instructor
VETERANS HEALTH ADMINISTRATION
The VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System is recruiting for a Training Instructor. The Training Instructor will function in Qualify and Patient Safety Service, Consolidated Clinical Risk Management. The Training Instructor oversees a broad range of dynamic adult learning programs, leads curriculum development, and delivers extensive training, instruction, and consultation services across a large and complex healthcare system.

The Training Instructor duties include, but are not limited to:
Advise executive-level staff on training programs and operations.
Collaborate to inventory course content, ensure all course materials and references are stored in the correct electronic formats and locations, comply with copyright requirements, and are properly maintained and updated.
Conduct testing and implementation of interactive educational technologies, including video, computer, and online platforms, to enhance training courses.
Develop short- and long-term plans to execute programs, including determining the appropriate organizational structure, staffing, resources, and facility requirements.
Make authoritative recommendations on training, and interprets policies, procedures, and establishes priorities.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday; Telework: Ad-hoc telework schedule may be available per agency directive.

For a GS-12 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-11. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.
Applicants must be eligible under the VA Interchange Agreement, having served continuously for at least one year in the other merit system under this interchange agreement. All Title 38 Veterans Canteen Service (VCS) employees must have served in their Excepted Service position for at least 90 days in order to be eligible for a position within the Competitive Service.
Applicants who were previously selected under a Competitive Delegating Examining Unit (DEU) announcement must have served in their position for at least 90 days prior to being eligible for other positions within the Competitive Service.
Undergraduate and Graduate Level Education: Major study education or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in training and development., Teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s);
Supervising or administering a training program;
Development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results; Work in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis.
Using virtual training software and other learning technologies; Developing training materials; Utilizing a variety of learning techniques such as classroom sessions, computer assisted instruction, distance-based learning, job aides, and other support resources; Creating specialized training courses and programs; Providing guidance to management on training for employee development; and Applying instructional methods such as teaching, training, research making presentations, lecturing, and testing.
