HR Generalist - Nightshift

Entry‑level position, ideal for starting a career in HR.

Provides assistance in all areas of HR, including employment, communication, team member events and record retention.

Maintains general office and lobby area ensuring that they are neat/clean, orderly and well stocked.

Performs administrative duties, including maintaining employee records, data input and research; ordering office supplies, team member/vendor badges, gaming licensing and renewals, etc.

Assists in coordinating and facilitating Talent Audition and New Hire Orientation.

Assists in developing and maintaining property communication, to include employee self‑service portal, back‑of‑house hallways; maintaining updated required federal, state and local posters, and property communications.

Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.

Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.

Must be proficient in Microsoft applications; Excel, Access, Word, Outlook.

Education and/or Experience: Minimum of one year experience in a customer service position; previous experience working in Human resources; High school diploma or general education degree GED; Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of America money and weight measurement, volume and distance. Possess ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills.

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.

Must possess a valid driver’s license and have acceptable driving history as determined by Penn National Gaming’s auto insurance carrier.
