Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to patients on a telemetry unit.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and assess patients' cardiac status through continuous telemetry.

Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 4-5:1.

Manage drips including Heparin, Lasix, Amiodarone, and Cardizem without titration.

Collaborate with respiratory therapy for patient care related to breathing treatments.

Perform dysrhythmia interpretation and respond to rhythm changes.

Participate in unit activities and contribute to a positive team environment.

Unit Information

The unit consists of 29 private rooms, focusing on a range of patient diagnoses, including renal, gastrointestinal, sepsis, and mental health issues.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN License.
• 2 years of experience in telemetry or critical care nursing.
• Current certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), and ECG competency.
• Ability to manage patient care independently during night shifts.

Shift Details

This position involves nights with self-scheduling available. There is a requirement for 3 weekend shifts per schedule cycle and participation in holiday rotations.

Additional Requirements

Candidates must pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of receiving the job offer (with a maximum of 2 attempts).

A PASS/FAIL simulation lab is included on the first day of orientation; failure will result in dismissal and a 6-month DNU.

Applicants must not reside within 50 miles of the facility and must provide a valid driver's license upon submission.

Orientation and Support

Comprehensive orientation is provided, including two shifts with a preceptor to ensure readiness for the role.
