Senior Software Engineering - Fullstack (Remote)

Lemon Tech Team Position

The technology team at Lemon is the heart of our innovation and growth. Our technology is created and maintained by multidisciplinary teams and we are responsible for developing scalable and efficient solutions that drive our mission to revolutionize the clean energy sector. In our backend we mainly use AWS with Node.js and asynchronous event-driven microservices. Our main database is DynamoDB. We use Jest and GitHub Actions for our tests and deployments. Design, implement and evolve end-to-end (frontend + backend) scalable, resilient and simple systems, ensuring direct impact on business and user experience;

Act with ownership throughout the development cycle: technical discovery, design, implementation (frontend and backend), testing, deployment, monitoring and operation;

Make architectural decisions considering trade-offs between user experience, performance, scalability and cost;

Promote good engineering practices across the stack (code quality, observability, testing and documentation);

Support and mentor less experienced engineers, acting as a cross-functional technical reference between frontend and backend.

Ability to balance pragmatic and ideal solutions, avoiding over-engineering and always seeking simplicity;

Solid experience in backend development with Node.js (minimum 5 years);

Consistent experience with React.js (or similar frameworks) and large-scale interface development;

Strong foundation in JavaScript/TypeScript, REST/GraphQL APIs and frontend/backend integration;

Experience in defining end-to-end architecture (including BFF, APIs, and frontend organization);

History of working on complex projects with high autonomy;

Experience in code review, good engineering practices, technical documentation and structured feedback;

Practical experience in continuous integration and delivery, with automated tests, structured code review and frequent deployment;

Experience with testing practices (unit, integration, functional and performance tests);

Experience in digital product squads with agile methodologies.

Serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB);

Experience with BFF (Backend for Frontend) and end-to-end performance optimization;

Micro-frontends and design systems at scale;

Observability (CloudWatch, Sentry or similar) with fullstack vision;

Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including modeling and optimization;

Experience with performance practices (frontend and backend), such as caching, lazy loading, and query optimization.
