Compliance/Litigation Paralegal

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys throughout all phases of complex litigation. This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging medical malpractice, personal injury, and civil litigation matters while playing a critical role in case management, client communication, legal research, and trial preparation.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with attorneys, clients, experts, and court personnel.

Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys throughout all phases of litigation, from case intake and investigation through resolution, trial, or appeal.
Manage and maintain case files, ensuring documents, records, and correspondence are organized and up to date.
Obtain, review, organize, and summarize medical records, billing records, insurance documentation, and other case-related materials.
Prepare medical chronologies, case timelines, damages summaries, deposition summaries, and other litigation support documents.
Draft and proofread pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, correspondence, and other legal documents.
Conduct legal and factual research utilizing tools such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research platforms.
Coordinate court filings, service of process, deposition scheduling, mediations, expert witness activities, and other litigation-related events.
Track case deadlines, court dates, and procedural requirements to ensure timely filings and compliance.
Assist with document review, productions, electronic discovery, and case management processes.
Prepare exhibits, trial notebooks, witness files, and other materials for hearings, mediations, and trial.
Serve as a professional point of contact for clients, medical providers, experts, insurance representatives, and court personnel.
Provide administrative and litigation support as needed to ensure efficient case progression.

Requirements:

• Associate degree, bachelor's degree, or Paralegal Certificate preferred.
• 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably within medical malpractice, personal injury, insurance defense, or civil litigation.
• Experience reviewing and organizing medical records and understanding medical terminology.
• Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, court rules, and filing requirements.
• Proficiency with legal research platforms, case management systems, and document management software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
