CISCO Network Systems Administrator
Chicago - Onsite - 6:30am to 3:30pm CST
About The Role:
We are seeking a network and system administrator with a robust background in CISCO networking.
What You'll Do:

Oversee and maintain Cisco network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and Call Manager systems.
Administer and support the Windows Server Active Directory (AD) environment, handling user and group administration, security policies, and organizational units (OUs).
Design, deploy, and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to enforce security standards, deploy software, and configure user settings.
Diagnose and resolve network and server issues promptly and effectively.
Contribute to the planning, deployment, and upkeep of server infrastructure.
Manage and maintain the VMWare ESXi virtualization environment.
Create and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, and PowerShell to streamline IT processes and enhance operational efficiency.
Continuously monitor system performance and proactively address potential bottlenecks.
Maintain thorough documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Collaborate with IT colleagues and stakeholders on various projects and strategic initiatives.
Uphold compliance with security policies, standards, and best practices.
Participate in the on-call rotation as required.
What We're Looking For:
At least 3 years of hands-on experience administering and supporting Cisco network infrastructure.
A minimum of 1 year of experience managing and maintaining Windows Server Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and resolving network and server issues.
Proficiency with both Linux and Windows operating systems.
Practical experience with VMWare ESXi virtualization platforms.
Familiarity with scripting and automation using tools such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
