CLS - Lab Chemistry

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist for its Troy, Michigan facility to perform diagnostic testing and instrument operations. The role involves specimen evaluation, technical procedures, quality control, and maintaining laboratory standards on a second shift schedule.

Responsibilities

Evaluate specimen acceptability according to established departmental criteria

Perform routine and complex technical procedures following Standard Operating Procedures

Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper functionality

Perform and document preventive maintenance, quality control, and reagent preparation

Report accurate test results and maintain safe work environment with appropriate safety practices

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology

Minimum one year clinical laboratory testing experience or Master of Laboratory Science degree

Ability to pass standardized color blindness test

ASCP or AMT certification preferred

Proficiency with laboratory information systems and computers

Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
