Description Trinity Health Oakland is Level 2 Trauma Center, with 15 operating rooms that average 35 cases/day. Our mission is to provide the highest-quality care to every patient who requires a surgical intervention. We care for both inpatients and outpatients for the following types of elective/urgent/emergent service lines: Acute Care Surgery, Colorectal, General Surgery, Cardio-Thoracic, Orthopedics, Endocrinology, Neurosurgery, Urology, Gynecology, Oncology, and Vascular; as well as off-shift Endoscopy. Our nursing staff is supported 24/7 by department-based Anesthesiologists. We have the distinction of being a Certified Joint Center of Excellence as well as a Robotic Center of Excellence.
SUMMARY Responsible for a safe, efficient Operating Room environment for hospital employees, medical staff, and patients. Ensures compliance with administration policies and procedures as well as OR schedule planning. REQUIRED EDUCATION / LICENSURE / EXPERIENCE Requires current Michigan Nursing License. Graduation from accredited nursing program BSN degree preferred or must agree in writing to obtain a BSN within five years. BLS 6 months - 1 year of experience/knowledge of Operating Room practices, policies, and procedures.
