Traveling Mechanical Project Manager

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of projects from preconstruction through closeout while working alongside a talented team of engineers, VDC professionals, superintendents, and field leaders.

Lead commercial and industrial mechanical construction projects from award through final completion.

Manage project schedules, budgets, procurement, subcontractors, labor, and project financials to ensure successful delivery.

Coordinate daily with engineering, VDC/BIM, field leadership, customers, vendors, and subcontractors to keep projects on schedule.

Review drawings, specifications, contracts, shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and change orders while ensuring project documentation remains accurate.

Order equipment and materials, issue purchase orders and subcontracts, and oversee project buyout activities.

Manage fabrication work packages, material takeoffs, production schedules, and fabrication budgets.

Identify project risks early and proactively develop solutions to keep projects moving safely and efficiently.

Partner closely with the Safety Department to ensure all work is completed in compliance with company policies and OSHA standards.

Build strong client relationships through excellent communication, problem-solving, and consistent project execution.

Lead project closeout activities, including commissioning support, punch lists, turnover documentation, and final billing.

1-3+ years of experience managing commercial or industrial mechanical construction projects.

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.

Strong understanding of HVAC, piping, process piping, mechanical systems, and construction practices.

Experience reviewing construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project schedules.

Proficiency with Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.

Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.

Travel Schedule

Travel to project sites nationwide.

Work approximately six 10-hour shifts per week while assigned to a project.
