Position Purpose: To greet and properly check in visitors and the public in the building's reception area; to produce identification badges, answer and route incoming calls, and respond to routine inquiries or providing basic information, as needed.
Essential Job Functions: The incumbent must be able to perform all the following duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Properly greet PETCO visitors and handle the reception area traffic in a manner that ensures a professional environment is maintained.
• Efficiently operate the PETCO switchboards, answer phone calls, take detailed messages and direct calls to the appropriate party.
• Prepare and produce paper visitor badges; ensure all visitors have proper identification (PETCO lanyard) prior to entry.
• Activate, deactivate and print access control badges with and without pictures. - Maintain daily sign-in logs, both hard copy and electronically.
• Ensure lobby area is maintained in neat and orderly condition throughout the day.
• Remain cognizant of any suspicious activity occurring at or near front door; inform security or manager of same in a prompt, professional manner.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Work Environment: Most tasks are performed while sitting indoors at a personal computer.
Education (Required): high school diploma, GED or equivalent
Work Experience (Required): Requires excellent verbal communication skills and phone etiquette. Requires functional knowledge of several MS Office applications, e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Must be customer service driven and able to effectively multi-task as needed. Must be able to operate effectively with little or no immediate supervision.
Work Experience (Preferred): One to three years' previous experience in comparable administrative role preferred.

The pay ranges outlined below are presented in accordance with state-specific regulations. These ranges may differ in other areas and could be subject to variation based on regulatory minimum wage requirements. Actual pay rates will depend on factors such as position, location, level of experience, and applicable state or local minimum wage laws. If the regulatory minimum wage exceeds the minimum indicated in the pay range below, the regulatory minimum wage will be the minimum rate applied.
Salary Range: $17.84 - $27.64
