The VIP Prep Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking all food items for the VIP lounge and box seat areas during events.
Organize and prioritize preparation of food items
- Prepare food according to standardized recipes
- Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish
- Coordinate food preparation with other kitchen staff
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and proper sanitation
- Maintain food display and presentation standards
- Ensure safe operation of kitchen equipment and appliances
- Ensure proper rotation of all food items, including FIFO (first in, first out)
- Ensure all food items are stored in proper containers and at proper storage and holding temperatures
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies
- Operate kitchen equipment including ovens, broilers, grills, dishwashing equipment, etc.
- Knowledge of high-volume kitchen operations
- Knowledge of food preparation, food spoilage, and proper food storage
- Knowledge of kitchen sanitation
- Ability to use all kitchen equipment safely
- Three or more years of experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment
