Conhagen is seeking an experienced Manual Machinist to join our team. This position is responsible for machining, repairing, and fabricating components for pumps, turbines, compressors, motors, and other rotating equipment used in critical industrial applications.

The ideal candidate will have experience operating manual machine tools, interpreting blueprints, performing precision measurements, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key responsibilities include setting up and operating manual lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders, and other machine shop equipment; inspecting finished parts to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards; assisting with the repair and refurbishment of rotating equipment components; maintaining equipment, tools, and work areas in a clean and organized manner; following all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA requirements; collaborating with mechanics, machinists, supervisors, and engineering personnel to meet production and repair schedules; assisting in training and mentoring less experienced machinists as needed; and supporting continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, and efficiency.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, minimum 3 years of manual machining experience, ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications, knowledge of machining principles, tolerances, feeds, speeds, and precision measurements, proficiency with manual machining equipment and precision measuring tools, strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and legal authorization to work in the United States.

Physical requirements include ability to stand for extended periods, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, ability to safely operate machining equipment and hand tools, ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), and ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and work around industrial equipment.

Work environment includes climate-controlled machine shop environment, moderate noise levels typical of industrial machining operations, overtime may be required based on customer and business demands, and work assignments and schedules may change to support operational needs.
