Human Resources Rep - Temp to Perm

Are you someone who enjoys working with people, staying organized, and keeping things moving? We are seeking an Human Resources Assistant to join a busy recruiting team on the west side of Columbus, OH. This role will focus on supporting driver candidates as they work through the application and pre-employment process.
A big part of this position is communication. You'll spend time each day reaching out to candidates by phone, answering questions, explaining next steps, and following up on outstanding items. We're looking for someone personable and persistent who is comfortable picking up the phone and helping candidates work through the process.
This is a contract position with the potential to become permanent based on performance and business needs.
What You'll Be Doing:

Reach out to driver candidates by phone to keep them engaged and moving through the hiring process
Follow up with applicants regarding drug testing, background checks, employment verification, and required documentation
Help candidates correct missing or inaccurate information and understand what they need to complete next
Reconnect with individuals who started an application but did not finish the process
Track candidate activity and hiring progress within the company's system
Work closely with the recruiting team to identify outstanding items and help resolve candidate issues
What We're Looking For:
Strong phone and interpersonal communication skills with at least a year of administrative or human resource experience
A friendly, relatable approach and confidence speaking with candidates throughout the day
Excellent organization and the ability to keep track of multiple follow-ups at once
Dependable and reliable with a strong work ethic
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change
Good problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet during phone conversations
Pay Details: $22.00 to $25.00 per hour
