Registered Nurse Travel Job Telemetry Shift Nights

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring 2+ years of hospital experience and NIHSS or Stroke Certification.

Requirements
Active NC or Compact RN license in hand
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
NIHSS or Stroke Certification required
Minimum 2 years of hospital nursing experience preferred
Must pass an EKG/Telemetry exam onsite
1 supervisory reference from within the last year required for consideration
Flu vaccination required with no exemptions or declinations accepted

Responsibilities
Med/Surg Tele unit caring for adult and geriatric patients
Patient ratio of 1:6
Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
Every other weekend required
No on‑call requirements
Epic charting system experience required
Provide direct patient care in a Med/Surg Tele unit setting including telemetry monitoring, wound care, and management of IV therapy
Experience with GI, respiratory, genitourinary/renal, neurological, and cardiovascular patient populations preferred
Teaching hospital, community hospital, and LTAC experience preferred
Previous charge nurse experience preferred
Royal blue scrubs required
Orientation sessions held biweekly
First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Candidates with prior permanent employment at this health system must not have been employed within the last 6 months
RTO requests limited to 5-7 days
