HR Generalist - Recruiting & Employee Engagement

Position Summary We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to lead the HR function for our growing manufacturing company. This is a newly established role and an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to create structure, improve processes, and help modernize the organization while preserving our family-owned culture and values.

The Human Resources Generalist will support all areas of human resources, including recruiting, employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, performance management, and training. A key focus of this role will be reviewing long-held practices, developing standard operating procedures, implementing consistent processes, and creating a strong HR foundation that supports future business growth.

The successful candidate will be a confident, hands‑on leader who can influence change, establish accountability, and serve as a trusted advisor to employees, managers, and ownership.

HR Leadership & Process Improvement Lead the company's HR function.

Review, update, and improve existing HR processes and practices.

Recruiting & Employee Development Manage recruiting, hiring, and onboarding activities.

Develop programs to support employee engagement, retention, and development.

Assist supervisors with performance management and employee coaching.

Identify training and leadership development opportunities.

Employee Relations, Accountability, & Compliance Serve as the primary resource for employee relations matters.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.

Maintain and update employee policies, procedures, and handbook content.

Oversee leave administration, workers' compensation, and related HR programs.

Support payroll processes and employee data management.

Maintain accurate HR records and reporting.

Monitor HR practices to ensure consistency and legal compliance.

Requirements Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in manufacturing.

Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
