Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks a Network Administrator to join our Networks and Computing IT team supporting classified programs.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing network devices, strong troubleshooting skills, and a solid understanding of network security principles. This position requires an active Top Secret clearance and offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in a secure, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and call manager systems.

Ensure high availability and secure connectivity across mission-critical environments.

Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure optimal availability and security.

Support network access control, user authentication, and segmentation in compliance with security policies and frameworks.

Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement network security controls, vulnerability remediation, and incident response.

Assist with network capacity planning, upgrades, and documentation to support evolving program requirements.

Participate in system provisioning, patch management, and configuration backups.

Provide technical support and guidance to end users and other IT teams.

Maintain compliance with DoD security standards such as JSIG RMF and STIGs .

Engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay current with emerging network technologies and security best practices.

Basic Qualifications:

Active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

TS/SCI OR successful completion of a Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years, or have been enrolled in a Continuous Vetting program within the last 5 years.

Eligibility for SAP access.

Minimum years of related experience: 1+ for level 2, 3+ for level 3.

Hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches and Cisco IOS implementations.

If not already within commuting distance of the worksite, willingness and ability to relocate at own expense.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of network security principles and best practices.

Experience administering enterprise network infrastructure.

Proficiency with layered network protocols.

Experience supporting classified or Special Access Programs (SAP).

Familiarity with network automation and orchestration tools.

Knowledge of network monitoring and logging tools (e.g., SNMP, Nagios, SIEM).

Experience with cloud networking and hybrid environments.

Security certifications such as CCNA , CCNP , CISSP , or equivalent.

Understanding of compliance frameworks such as RMF , JSIG, and STIGs.

Typical Education & Experience:

Associate (level 2): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master, 6 year's related work experience, etc.).

Experienced (level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.).

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range

Associate (level 2): $83,300 - $112,700

Experienced (level 3): $102,850 - $139,150
