Installation Services Welder - Lead

Position Summary Use Tig welding equipment and fixtures to repair turbine subcomponents. Must be able to use pneumatic, electrical and hand tools to prep areas to be welded, blend welded areas back to original contours, and perform minor assembly and disassembly. Will be working with specialty materials.
Use or learn to use measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height gauge and measuring tape.
Manufacture jigs, chills, argon backups, etc. High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience PLUS 5 years’ experience TIG welding of super-alloys.
All potential new hires for this level must pass a weld test forGTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) in 1G horizontal.
All plate weld coupons are subject to CWI inspection, and bend test before any applicant can be hired. All level 2 coupons are standard carbon 304 Stainless Steel 3/8” thickness in all positions.
Experience in aero-derivative gas turbine engines
The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
Must know how to weld/prep their parts.
Use basic hand tools for disassembly/assembly.
Able to work under limited supervision.
Awareness of EHS policy and able to interpret EHS warnings.
